Chelsea lost at home to Southampton 3-1. The team has only won two games after eight matches this season.

Rumours about Jose Mourinho leaving Chelsea got stronger by the minute after his team lost against Southampton at home 3-1. The Portuguese boss has his squad ranked in 16th place of the Premier League after only eight games. Despite the negative results, Chelsea decided they are standing by the Special One.

Four losses, two wins and two draws is the record that Chelsea has in the domestic league. In the Champions League, the Blues only have three points after two games. The thought of leaving the team would be an option for Mou if his players turned his back on him.

Some people want Mou to back up his words with actions

"The manager is guilty. This is the message, not just these players, the other ones before, they got [the message] during a decade," Mou told reporters

This is the worst start for the team that calls Old Trafford its home. Nothing similar to this had happened to Chelsea ever since 1978/1979. Back then, the team ended in last place. Mourinho knows it is time for  the whole organization to work together and try to get the results they need in order to climb up the standings.

History says this is not good at all for Chelsea

"The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support," was read in a statement released by the club.

"As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it."

Even a die-hard Arsenal fan knows that change may not be coming soon to Chelsea

With the international break interrupting any kind of club activity, the team has 14 days to prepare its next game at home against Aston Villa. Then, they will resume Champions League action playing against Dinamo Kyiv.

The Special One is not running away
