The Gunners got off the mark in blistering fashion against the Reds in Sunday's clash.

Gabriel Martinelli got the Emirates rocking in no time in Arsenal's clash with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon by firing the hosts in the lead in blistering fashion. The Brazilian set the tone for the affair by scoring after just the second fastest goal in the fixture in just 58 seconds.

Arsenal welcomed Liverpool in what was their biggest test of the Premier League season so far with a win enough to take them 14 points ahead of the Reds. Fortune favored the hosts and there was very little time for niceities as they propelled themselves into the drivers' seat in a blink of an eye.

Saka runned on the right, and passed across to Martin Odegaard who subsequently found Martinelli in the box with a through ball. The Brazlian wasted no time, with his first-time shot is deflecting past Alisson to spark celebrations inside the Emirates. Watch:

According to the Premier League archieves, Martinelli's goal after 58 seconds against Liverpool is the second fastest ever scored in the history of the fixture. Martin Skrtel scored after 52 seconds of Liverpool's 5-1 win v Arsenal in February 2014
