Win or go home for Riyad Mahrez and Algeria...and even that will not be enough

Senegal

Saido Mane and his colleagues have already booked their spot in the next round and are hoping to make it a perfect three wins out of three. Should they do so, it will be the first time in the nation's history, and will mark their first AFCON win against Algeria as well, having lost their past two meetings. Technically, this game is a dead rubber for Aliou Cisse's side, but nonetheless, Senegal will still not take this match lightly. After all, it's a golden chance to potentially knock Algeria, a team many regarded pre-tournament as a heavy contender to clinch the title, out of the tournament.

Algeria

Unfortunately for Algeria, their fate is not even entirely in their hands. For starters, the Desert Foxes not just have to beat Senegal. They will also have to hope that Tunisia, who shocked them in their last fixture, end up dropping points against Zimbabwe. Or, if the two sides play to a draw, then that means the Desert Foxes need to absolutely crush Senegal, which is something that, given that this AFCON tournament has not yet seen any huge blow-outs, would be nothing short of shocking and spectacular.
