The Senegalese forward inspired the Bavarians to another big scoreline against their Czech opponents on Wednesday night.

Sadio Mane has officially registered the 200th goal of his club career. The 30-year-old winger got on the scoresheet as Bayern Munich hit Viktoria Plzen for four in the first half of Wednesday night's Champions League encounter.

Coming into the game on the back of a 5-0 win in the first leg over the same opponent, it was almost certain that Bayern were going to stroll to another win effortlessly and rightly so. The Bavarians began their first half onslaught inside the nine minute, with Sadio Mane moving the ball from the left-wing and burying it in the bottom corner following a swift exchange of passes with Leon Goretzka. The goal ended a six-game goalless run for the reigning African Player of the Year with his tally across his stints with Metz, RB Salzburg, Southampton, Liverpool and Bayern Munich increasing to 200.

The goal was also Sadio Mane's second of the 2022-23 Champions League season. His overall tally in the competition now stands at 24. Following the former Liverpool man's strike, Thomas Muller got Bayern's second with an assist from Kingsley Coman before Leon Goretzka made it 4-0 by scoring in the 25th and 35th minutes respectively.

Bayern could not sustain the pressure they piled on their opponents in the first half of the game during the second 45 minutes as they will concede twice to end proceedings with a 4-2 scoreline. The Bavarians secured qualification to the next round of the competition as a result and sit atop Group C with 12 points.
