Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will most likely miss the Europa League clash with Sparta Prague this Thursday.
Gerrard, who also missed last week's first leg match against Sparta Prague, will also miss the second leg tie against the same team which will be played at Anfield.

Gerrard last played in a Liverpool shirt in the 1-0 win over Chelsea on February 6. He picked up an injury in that match and although the injury seems to have been healed, Kenny Dalglish has said that Gerrard will be rested for the tie against Sparta Prague.

“Steven is almost there but we’ve got to take a long-term view,” the Scotsman said.

Liverpool will be gunning for a victory against Sparta Prague after their 0-0 draw last week as they seek to bid for their only hope for silverware this season
