The Costa Rican footballer was praised by Los Blancos' hierarchy as one of the most committed players in recent times.

Keylor Navas' stay at the Bernabeu has come to an end, as the Central American footballer has agreed to sign a four-year deal with PSG.

The 3-time UEFA Champions League winner with Los Blancos was not willing to play second-fiddle behind Thibaut Courtois, which fueled his desire to leave the club. Added to the length of his new deal, an improvement in his weekly wages was enough for him to choose PSG as his next destination.

Real Madrid bid farewell to the player with a brief press release published on their website.

"Real Madrid C.F. and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to sign a deal for Keylor Navas. The club would like to show its gratitude and appreciation for his behavior and commitment during the five years he defended Real Madrid's crest.

Keylor Navas was part of one of the most successful eras in our team's history, winning 12 titles. Three of those were UEFA Champions League trophies. Real Madrid wishes Navas all the best in the new stage of his professional career," the press release states.

On the other hand, PSG took it to social media to unveil their new player with a cheeky video.

Navas' transfer also confirms Alphonse Areola's move to Real Madrid on loan. The French goalie's deal with the Spanish side does not include a buyout clause.
