The Belgian striker looked back at the racist insults Cagliari fans hurled at him during Sunday's clash.

Romelu Lukaku is making his presence felt in the Italian Serie A both on and off the pitch, but this time, it was for all the wrong reasons.

Inter picked up a tough win against Cagliari by defeating I Rossoblu with a 2-1 score, but those three points came tarnished due to the racist abuse Lukaku was subjected to. Cagliari fans -who had been involved in a similar incident with Moise Kean last season- aimed monkey chants against the Belgian footballer, especially after he scored the game-winning goal for Antonio Conte's men.

Footage of the incident has been played over and over again on Twitter. Fans can be seen hurling insults at the footballer with the well-known monkey-like noises being heard right after he drilled a penalty past Cagliari's goalie. Lukaku waited to share his views, and his response to these insults was a total class act.

This is, at least, the sixth racist incident in which Cagliari fans have been involved. It all began with racist abuse against Samuel Eto'o in 2009, with similar incidents taking place against Mario Balotelli (2010), Sulley Muntari (2017), Blaise Matuidi (2018),and Moise Kean (2019).

Will this fresh incident be enough for the Italian top-flight authorities to take action?
