The Argentine boss may hold on to his job despite the team's poor display at home against Bayern München this Tuesday.

Tottenham fans may believe it is time to bid farewell to Mauricio Pochettino, but president Daniel Levy has other plans for the club despite their wishes.

The team's 7-2 loss against Bayern prompted comments regarding Pochettino's possible dismissal as coach, but the Argentine coach may still have a lifeline due to his massive contract with Spurs.

According to reports coming in from England, Tottenham execs would be forced to pay Pochettino over $39M if they chose to sack him at this stage of the season, especially after he inked a new deal prior to the start of last season that made him one of the best-paid coaches in the world.

The only way for Pochettino to leave the club would be if another team came around and paid the buyout clause included in his contract.

According to these reports, Pochettino's lack of enthusiasm is the main reason for his players to believe he is not as interested as he used to be, which has taken a toll on the team's performance this season, earning only eleven points in seven Premier League games and their elimination from the 2019-20 Carabao Cup by Colchester United.

Be that as it may, Pochettino may see his time at Tottenham go on, but fans believe that it's time for the team's hierarchy to work on "Plan B".
