The French manager also referred to the cup competition as one of the main goals for his squad during this season.

Real Madrid's most expensive signing of all time has been allowed to work out on the pitch, but coach Zinedine Zidane remains coy on his intention to allow the player to return to a game.

Speaking ahead of the Copa del Rey match against Real Zaragoza, Zidane shared a positive update on Hazard's fitness, but he also ruled him out of the game Los Blancos will be playing at La Romareda tomorrow.

"Hazard is back on the pitch training with our coaches, but he is yet to join his team-mates. We'll see how we deal with his fitness this week," Zidane said.

The former midfielder shared his views on what Real Madrid needs to do to win this tournament, especially since he has never been close to win it since he became first-team coach.

"When I put Real Madrid's jersey on, I want to win every game. Tomorrow we will have a cup clash and we have to do a good job. Our players will be ready to give their all on the pitch," Zidane added.

The tactician admitted that the team needs to step it up if they want to win the Copa del Rey this year, especially since they have only been able to win three in the last 30 years.

"Real Madrid has a great history, and the level of motivation is always high, especially when there's a trophy involved. We respect every tournament. Real Madrid has 13 UEFA Champions League titles, which is very good, and while in the Cup we have not been as successful, we want to change it and we will give it a try," Zidane concluded.
