With Rashford out, the Red Devils are in need of a new striker and appear to have found their ideal target.

Man United have finally completed the signing of Bruno Fernandes after weeks of negotiations but according to the latest rumors, the Red Devils are not yet done in the transfer market. Fresh reports claim the club are looking to sign a striker on deadline day.

That man is none other than Joshua King. This is not the first time the Bournemouth forward has been linked with the club, having played for the Man United youth side. However, these speculations have picked up pace on the final day of the winter transfer window.

According to the Guardian, the 20-time Premier League champions have had a bid turned down for the Norwegian striker but are ready to make another offer. This decision came after Eddie Howe handed the club fresh hope of getting this transfer done.

The Cherries boss, speaking on Friday, said that King is an integral part of his squad but admitted that his future is out of his hands. Howe also hinted that the attacker is keen to return to Old Trafford.

Man United believe that a better offer than the one that was turned down could get this deal done. Should Bournemouth lose King to the Red Devils, this will come as a huge blow given that they are in the midst of a relegation battle. However, it would be great for Solskjaer’s side given the loss of Marcus Rashford.

The Englishman, who is the English giants’ top scorer this season, suffered a double stress fracture and is due to spend quite some time on the sidelines. The addition of King would see them land a goalscorer who is already adapted to the league and could slot right in to aid Man United’s top-four battle.
