The Brazilian playmaker looked back at his time with the Reds, as talk about his return has circled the air recently.

Philippe Coutinho's future will be one of the main topics of discussion in the next few months, especially if Bayern München fails to exercise the buyout clause included in his loan deal from Barcelona.

Today, the Brazilian player made an honest admission about his Liverpool days, leaving the door open for a comeback despite his exit from Anfield back in 2018.

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Coutinho referred to the Reds' current success.

"Liverpool is flying, and it doesn't surprise me. We've seen it already last yeaer when they won the Champions League, but I'm also not surprised because of their fantastic squad and manager. I am so happy for them, because I have so many friends there, former team-mates, so I'm just so happy for them," Coutinho said.

Asked about how he could be enjoying this successful time at his former club, Coutinho admitted his intentions to move on.

"I took another path, and now I am on another journey, much like everyone else. I'm focused entirely -just like them- on reaching my dreams. I'm happy with what I did in the past, and now I can only look forward," Coutinho added.

The former Barcelona playmaker has been dubbed by Catalan newspapers as one of the main issues to solve by Los Culés, who desperately need the money to fund other deals and to offer some of their stars, such as Lionel Messi, an improved salary. Will a move back to Anfield be out of the question? Only time will tell...
