The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers were delayed by the coronavirus crisis all over the world, but some regions in the world have finally agreed on how to get those games going before time is an issue.
One of those regions is none other than the South American Football Confederation, or CONMEBOL. Football's governing body in that region will kick things off with ten games, all of them set to take place in the upcoming week.
With that in mind, fans around the world will have the chance to watch Neymar, Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, James Rodríguez, Alexis Sánchez, and more of their favorite South American football stars going at it to secure their presence in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Matchday 1 (October 8-9)
Must-watch game: Uruguay vs Chile
The heated rivalry between La Celeste and La Roja has given fans around the world much to talk about, and this game will be no exception. The circumstances of this game will see players such as José María Giménez and Edinson Cavani watching this game at home, but the presence of some of the best footballers for both national teams makes this quite an appealing match.
Uruguay will be once again under coach Oscar Tabarez after a brief break for the legendary boss. Luis Suárez and Diego Godín will lead La Celeste in this game, especially since goalkeeper Fernando Muslera and Edinson Cavani will not be around. As for Chile, their golden generation is getting a bit old, and it will be up to newcomers such as Víctor Dávila, Sebastián Vegas, or Tomás Alarcón to fill the void left by Claudio Bravo and Gary Medel.

Matchday 2 (October 13)
Must-watch game: Peru vs Brazil
This clash will be a re-edition of the 2019 Copa América final, which saw the Brazilian side claim the title with a 3-1 score. La Franjirroja has not been able to beat A Canarinha for quite some time, and starting the Qualifiers on the right foot will be the goal for Ricardo Gareca's men. This will also give Brazil a chance to redeem themselves, as they have only been able to win one of their last four games, including a 1-0 loss against Argentina.
Both teams will not have some of their finest players around due to a number of issues. Peruvian captain and legend Paolo Guerrero has been left out due to an injury, while Edison Flores chose not to join the team for personal reasons. As for Brazil, three key players in their recent past will watch this game on TV, as Alisson Becker, Dani Alves and Willian have all been left out of the squad.
