The Spanish Copa del Rey has always kept some surprises in store for fans watching around the world, but this could go down in history as one of the biggest upsets in the tournament, as Segunda B side Alcoyano eliminated Real Madrid from the competition with a 2-1 score.
Los Blancos had claimed the lead with a goal by Eder Militao, but a late strike by José Solbes sent the game to extra time. Once there, Juanan Casanova made the most out of a counter-attack and sealed the surprising result against Zidane's men, who were unable to create a single chance after Alcoyano's second goal.
This latest upset brings up unwanted memories for Real Madrid, especially those where they lost against Alcorcón or Real Unión in previous editions of the tournament. To make matters worse, Alcoyano accomplished this feat with only ten men on the pitch, as Ramón López was sent off minutes before the second goal came along.

While some fans might be asking for Zidane's dismissal, the prospect of watching the legendary boss leave seems far-fetched. Nevertheless, Florentino Pérez could shock the world with such a decision. Let's wait and see how things develop in the next few days at la Casa Blanca.
