Man City are preparing for a tricky midweek Premier League fixture as the league leaders are set to visit Burnley on Wednesday for their 1 p.m. ET clash. The last time these two sides met, the Citizens enjoyed an emphatic 5-0 triumph, with Guardiola's men aiming to repeat this feat in a bid to maintain their impressive winning streak.

The Citizens head into this game on the back of their 1-0 victory over Sheffield United, with Gabriel Jesus' ninth-minute strike earning the Manchester giants all three points. The result was a crucial one as Pep decided to rest several key players, with the likes of Stones, Cancelo, Rodri, Sterling, and Mahrez getting a breather.

That triumph was their eighth in a row in the English top-flight, a run of form that has lifted them to the league summit. Guardiola's men sit three points ahead of second-placed Man Utd and boast a four-point advantage over defending champions Liverpool, who are in third. Furthermore, City boast a game in hand over the Red Devils and Merseyside giants, thus putting the title race firmly in their court.

However, as we have seen throughout the course of this Premier League season, one or two bad results can swing the entire title race. As a result, Pep cannot afford to slip up on Wednesday in their trip to Turf Moor.
