The German giants head to the Camp Nou with the sole mission of eliminating the Blaugrana from the tournament in the group stage for the second year running.

Bayern Munich are gearing up for a highly-anticipated showdown with Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, and ahead of that exciting fixture, Thomas Muller has gone on and made things more interesting after sending former teammate Robert Lewandowski a cheeky message.

The German giants will make the trip to the Camp Nou for Wednesday's showdown as Die Roten look to pull off the double over the Blaugrana. These two European powerhouses locked horns back in September at the Allianz Arena, and despite Xavi's men impressing in that fixture, it was the Bundesliga champions that emerged triumphant, winning 2-0.

The interesting talking point about that showdown was Robert Lewandowski's return to the Allianz Arena just months after the Polish sensation forced his way out of Bayern Munich in favor of a move to Catalonia.

And it was Nagelsmann's defense that got the last laugh, keeping Lewandowski quiet while registering a clean sheet. The venue will be the Camp Nou this time around but the objective remains the same, with Muller taking to Instagram to send his former teammate a message.

"Lewy, we are coming," the German ace said before breaking out in laughter, with a couple of other members of the Matchday 5 squad joining in on the fun.

However, for Barcelona, this is no laughing matter. Xavi's men currently sit third in the table, trailing second-placed Inter Milan by three points with only two games remaining. Given that the head-to-head record favors the Nerazzurri, the Blaugrana cannot afford a slip-up and must beat Bayern at all costs or will risk suffering another group-stage exit.

Will the German giants eliminate the Spanish heavyweights from this tournament for the second year running? Only time will tell.
