With only one game left and all European tournament spots allocated, there will be four teams battling to avoid relegation.

The 2020-21 Primeira Liga title race came to an end last week, when Sporting claimed a crucial win over Boavista to secure their first title in 19 years. With that in mind, all that was left to sort out was the remaining UEFA Champions League spot, which went to Porto after this weekend's result.

  • Benfica boss facing major criticism over "failed investment" - Coach Jorge Jesús was heavily criticized by a member of Benfica's board, mainly because the massive investment made on the team did not pay off. The member of Benfica's board demanded Jesús to be more humble ahead of next season to help the Eagles reach a spot in the UEFA Champions League and win the title while at it.
