Lionel Scaloni led La Albiceleste to glory in the 2021 Copa América, and he also delivered the world title in just eighteen months.

The man behind Argentina's success was a completely unsung hero, a man that was blasted for his lack of experience and for his decision to keep working with La Albiceleste after their fiasco in 2018.

Today, coach Lionel Scaloni has been able to silence his haters with an impressive display from the bench, changing the mood of the game when France seemed to change the tide in their favor, and by keeping the best player of this generation involved with the national team even if he wanted to call it quits.

The 44-year-old coach will be able to call himself taller than others more experienced than him when it comes to winning titles with the South American side, as he led the team to glory in the Copa América (2021), in the Finalissima (2022), and to the World Cup.

Now, the coach deserved to let it all go, and he did so during an interview with a media outlet from his country, sharing some heartfelt words to his parents who were watching him reach the stars with La Albiceleste at home.

"My dad and my mom gave me a way of understanding life: always keep moving forward. I can only hope they are watching,"before he broke down in tears.
