The cup competition in Spain carries on with some matches to keep an eye on between lower-tier clubs and La Liga sides.

Club football is back after the end of the FIFA World Cup, and fans will be able to get in gear with the second round of the Copa del Rey taking place this week.

The cup competition in this country will give most clubs a chance to get together and shake off the dust left on them by the quadrennial competition, especially for those clubs who had many international players joining their teams.

While teams such as Barcelona, Real Betis, Real Madrid, and Valencia will not be involved in these games, clubs like Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, and Villarreal will be included in this week's clashes to keep fans interested as their domestic competitions get back on track after a two-month hiatus.

The games will be listed in chronological order. You will find some of the matches featuring La Liga teams in bold.
