The alleged incident took place during the player's holidays at a bar in Barcelona. Authorities are supposedly interested in having a Q&A session with the footballer.

One of the most laureated players in football history is facing a major problem during the final days of his career, as Dani Alves has been implicated in a strange incident off the pitch during his holidays.

The player will make it to a police station in Barcelona over an alleged sexual misconduct which reportedly took place at a local night club. Alves will be interrogated by Spanish authorities as a detainee for this incident, as he has been identified as the culprit by the victim, a local girl.

Reports coming in from Spain started emerging after New Year's Day, when the alleged victim accused Alves of introducing his hand into her underpants. Alves has admitted he was celebrating New Year at the club, but he denies being involved in any misconduct.

"Yes, I was there, with more people, enjoying myself. Anyone who knows me is aware that I love to dance. I was dancing and enjoying the night without invading anyone's space. I don't know who that girl is. You go to the bathroom and you don't have to ask who's there. I have never invaded anyone's space. How would I do that to a girl or a woman? No, for God's sake," Alves told Catalan show "Y Ahora Sonsoles" on January 5.

Alves, who currently pays for Liga MX's Pumas UNAM, has seen his club leaving this issue to Alves' attorneys.
