The English winger sealed his dream move to St. James' Park a week ago but his immediate future could be in tremendous jeopardy.

Last Sunday, Anthony Gordon completed his desired move to Newcastle, with the talented Everton academy graduate forcing his way out of Goodison Park in favor of St. James' Park.

Unfortunately, the player's immediate future could be in tremendous jeopardy as the attacker is at risk of being jailed. This is according to the Sun, with the infamous British tabloid uncovering wrongdoing by the 21-year-old.

What did the Englishman do to land himself in hot water? Despite being banned from driving, the winger was caught on the road only two days into the suspension, an offense punishable by jail time.

Gordon had his driving license disqualified on Monday for "failing to disclose details of the driver of his car" on two occasions. Additionally, the player had racked up parking and speeding offenses, thus leading to his six-month ban.

However, the Sun have released a picture of the Premier League ace driving his Mercedes two days later on Wednesday. Anthony, who was with his girlfriend at the time, was seen parking his car outside the Hilton hotel in Gateshead.

Newcastle, who signed the player for a noteworthy $49.5M transfer fee, were contacted by the aforementioned news outlet for comment as this offense can result in a six-month prison sentence. If Gordon was to be punished by the full extent of the law, this would come as a massive blow to the Magpies amid their stellar season.

Eddie Howe's side have qualified for the Carabao Cup final and are 90 minutes away from ending their 54-year trophy drought. Additionally, Bruno Guimarães and Co. are currently third in the table, ahead of fourth-placed Manchester United on goal difference and behind second-placed Manchester City by six points.

With this golden opportunity to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League being in reach, Newcastle will not want to lose their talented acquisition until the end of the season.
