The German boss has taken a bit of criticism due to the bad form shown by the Reds, and some believe that his time at Anfield may be running out.

Liverpool's season has been an absolute disaster, and while most fans and experts blame the Fenway Sports Group for their poor handling of the team's transfer activity and other decisions, an English journalist has stepped up to blast Jurgen Klopp's activity with the club this campaign, and has even predicted that his stint with the Reds will finish with the ongoing campaign.

In an article published on his website, veteran sports writer Richard Keys slammed Klopp's attitude towards one of his colleagues in the post-match press conference following Liverpool's 3-0 loss to Wolverhampton. There, Klopp refused to answer a question by James Pearce, and asked another reporter to ad-lib the question so he could answer in detail.

According to Keys, this rant by Klopp shows how the German coach has lost the plot when it comes to doing his job, labeling that display as 'pathetic' soon after comparing him to Pep Guardiola.

"What a shame that Klopp appears to be doing his best to impersonate Guardiola in his post match press conferences now. What was that about at Wolves - blanking James Pearce from The Athletic because he doesn't like what Pearce has previously written? Pathetic. There's only one winner when a coach falls out with the press - and it's not the coach," Keys stated.

Then, the seasoned journalist discussed how Klopp failed to identify the team's needs to re-build his squad before his top players went past their peaks.

"Liverpool are way off. A shadow of what they once were - and it's no good blaming FSG. The downfall is Klopp's responsibility. He didn't start the re-build soon enough. What were Liverpool thinking keeping Milner, Henderson and Firminho? The entire mid-field is too old or not good enough," Keys added.

Finally, the journalist launched a prediction about Klopp's future that may not make most Liverpool fans happy.

"My guess is Klopp will walk. Not now - but if they're knocked out of the CL by Real Madrid I think he'll be gone before the start of next season," the journalist added.

Liverpool are set to face Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League on February 21 and March 15. Out of all cup competitions and ranked tenth in the Premier League, it seems that Klopp's only chance to lead Liverpool to silverware is the continental tournament, but will he quit the job if he is eliminated by the Spanish side? We will have to wait and see.
