The Uruguayan ace did not hesitate to score the first goal of the evening for the Reds with a cheeky but effective strike.

They say that when things get tough, that's when big players step up to deliver. Judging by this goal, it seems that Darwin Núñez had his day, as he managed to give Liverpool the lead with a massive finish to open up the scoring for the English club.

Núñez put to good use a through ball by Mohamed Salah, and taking advantage of Dani Carvajal's untimely move to clear the South American from offside position, managed to send the ball to the back of the net before the four-minute mark.
