The attacker will be involved from the start for Manchester United when they take on Newcastle at Wembley.

Marcus Rashford has handed Manchester United a massive boost ahead of Sunday afternoon's Carabao Cup showdown. The 25-year-old was named in the Red Devils' starting line-up for the clash with Newcastle United at Wembley, putting to bed rumors that he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

In Thursday night's Europa League Round of 16 match-up with Barcelona, the England attacker sustained an ankle injury and was subsequently substituted. In his absence, United held on and eliminated the Catalans. However, reports that emerged after the game indicated that the player might be unavailable for Sunday's trip to Wembley as he was seen limping on his way out of Old Trafford.

Moments before kick-off at Wembley, the concerns were put to bed with Rashford retaining his place in the starting line-up. The forward has scored 24 goals in all competitions for Manchester United this season, 16 of which have been scored in his last 18 matches for the club. As a result, his inclusion could prove to be a difference maker for the Red Devils will are aiming to secure the first trophy in five years.

Meanwhile, David de Gea, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes, all retained their spot in the starting line-up with Antony, Woutt Weghorst, Fred and Diogo Dalot completing the set.
