Potter's men host the Bundesliga giants on Tuesday and will have to overcome a 1-0 deficit if they are to make the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.

Chelsea have received major boosts ahead of their highly-anticipated UEFA Champions League showdown with Dortmund as three players that have been struggling for fitness took part in training ahead of the 2nd-leg tie at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League giants will host the Bundesliga outfit on Tuesday, with the Blues needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit if they are to make it into the quarterfinals.

While form isn't on their side, Graham Potter has welcomed back a host of players from injury, the most important being Reece James. The right-back missed his side's weekend clash with Leeds due to a hamstring issue, thus sparking concerns over his availability for the Dortmund game.

However, as revealed by the Athletic, the talented English defender returned to Cobham ahead of Tuesday's game and took part in the pre-match training session. While it remains unclear whether he will start straight away, Reece is available for selection, which is tremendous news for the London heavyweights.

However, it does not end there. Both Christian Pulisic and N'Golo Kante were also involved in Monday's session, which is a welcomed update due to the club's goalscoring issues and midfield woes.

It isn't clear whether the American and Frenchman will play a part in the second leg as both have been out for a considerable amount of time. Nonetheless, Potter will be glad to see his injury list decrease as he looks to salvage his career at Stamford Bridge.

While Chelsea triumphed over the weekend, beating Leeds 1-0 to enter the BVB tie on the back of a victory, the club's form has been atrocious under the English tactician. Potter's men were on a six-game winless run prior to the weekend result and have triumphed only three times in their last 17 outings.
