Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been named the Manager of the Year at this year's London Football Awards. The 40-year-old Spanish coach clinched the award by beating the likes of Richie Wellen, Emma Hayes, Thomas Frank and Marco Silva at Monday's event which took place at Roundhouse in Chalk Farmon. 

Arteta, who has been at the helm of affairs at Arsenal for the past two seasons, has led a remarkable renaissance that has seen the Gunners battling for the Premier League title this season. In Europe, the North London club are also in contention to secure their first-ever Europa League title with a potential quarter-final appearance beckoning. 

At the London Football Awards which aims to celebrate only the best football personnel and clubs based in London, Arteta came out on top in the managers' category. In his acceptance speech, the Arsenal boss thanked his staff and players for their contribution to the campaign they have had thus far.

Meanwhile, the Gunners' boss was not the only one from the club to be crown at the night's event. Martin Odegaard was adjudged the Premier League Player of the Year ahead of teammate Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane, Ivan Toney and Fulham's Alexsandar Mitrovic. Saka made it a treble for Arsenal by winning the Men's Young Player of the Year before Aaron Ramsdale took their haul to four by winning the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Chelsea Women's Sam Kerr was named the FA Women's Player of the Year while her teammate Lauren James won the Women's Young Player of the Year honor. West Ham legend Mark Nobel received the Outstanding Contribution to London Football Award.
