However, ahead of that game, a worrying story involving one of Mikel Arteta's attackers has emerged. That man is Reiss Nelson, who is set to undergo a criminal trial this September.
As revealed by the Daily Mail, the English winger is facing trouble after his dog allegedly attacked a masseur at his home in North London. The pet, which is named Tiago and is believed to be a Staffordshire bull terrier, has been accused of attacking massage therapist Saeid Motaali back in December 2020.
As a result, Nelson has been charged with "being in charge of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control" as the masseur was said to have suffered injuries.
The Hale End academy graduate denied the accusations in October of last year and was granted unconditional bail. Nonetheless, the player awaits a trial, which has been scheduled for September 4.
This will be an unwelcomed distraction for the Gunners as they prepare for their final nine games of the season. Mikel Arteta's men sit eight points clear at the top, albeit having played a game extra, and face Liverpool next.
Nelson hasn't featured much for Arsenal but has been influential whenever called upon, scoring twice against Nottingham Forest back in October after Saka limped off injured before scoring that dramatic last-minute winner against Bournemouth last month.
With closest rivals Manchester City facing relegation-battling Southampton on Saturday, Arsenal will have to come away from Anfield with a win for the first time since 2012. Otherwise, Saka and Co. could see their lead at the top slashed.
