The Portuguese winger has earned praises by most of the team's bosses, and his loan stint will most likely be made permanent if things carry on as they are.

Chelsea's form during the entire season has been quite disappointing, and even though their chances to finish among the top six teams this season seem to be fading away with each passing week, the team is ready to invest properly to bring the good times back to Stamford Bridge.

Speaking of that investment, reports from England and Spain suggest that the club is ready to enter negotiations to sign Joao Felix on a permanent deal. The Portuguese ace joined the Blues during the winter transfer window, and while his impact has not been as impressive, the team's hierarchy has determined that Felix will be one of the cornerstones of the team's rebuilding process this summer.

A report by Spanish newspaper As states that Chelsea will not wait until the summer to make the deal for Felix permanent, and the amount they will be willing to pay Atlético could increase or be reduced when the outcome of the UEFA Champions League clash is known.

The main problem for Chelsea will be reaching an agreement with Atlético, who are keen to sell but will not accept a small amount of money for the Portuguese, who was at one point the most expensive transfer in team history. With that in mind, the bidding war for Felix could see Chelsea buying the footballer for over $80M.

While Chelsea might be inclined to include players in a potential deal, Atlético's willingness to negotiate could be enough to make the deal happen. The player is seen as a talented asset for Los Colchoneros, but his lack of consistency and his complicated relationship with Diego Simeone could be enough for Atlético to negotiate a deal even if Felix did not live up to the expectations around him.
