According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine is expected to leave the Amex this summer, with three English giants currently pursuing his signature.

Alexis Mac Allister is one of the hottest midfielders in the Premier League. The Argentine has been a key figure in Brighton's brilliant season and was instrumental in La Albiceleste's 2022 FIFA World Cup success, with the 24-year-old garnering interest from Europe's elite slides as a result.

In fact, according to Fabrizio Romano, the South American is the subject of concrete interest from three of England's biggest clubs. They are Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

The well-known Italian journalist revealed on his official YouTube channel that Mac Allister is preparing for an Amex Stadium departure this summer and is expecting to leave. However, there are no clear favorites in the race for his signature and a price tag hasn't been established by his current employers.

Chelsea's search for a new midfielder is no secret. The London giants have been following the likes of Romeo Lavia, Declan Rice, and Manu Kone. However, the Blues have now thrown their hat in the ring for Mac Allister as they look to partner Enzo Fernandez with a new comrade.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are in desperate need of a midfield overhaul and have recently pulled out of the Jude Bellingham race. Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, and Matheus Nunes have all been linked with the Merseyside giants, with Mac Allister being the latest name they have reached out to.

The Argentine isn't the only Brighton midfielder on Liverpool's radar as Moises Caicedo is garnering interest from Klopp's side as well. However, given that the Seagulls are competing for European football this season, it's unlikely the club will sell their two midfield stars.

And finally, we have Manchester United, another Premier League giant on the lookout for a maestro. However, unlike with Chelsea and Liverpool, there is tremendous uncertainty at Old Trafford in their pursuit of the Argentine.

This is due to two reasons, the first being the potential takeover. It is unknown who will own the Red Devils come the summer transfer window, thus making it hard for transfer targets and a budget to be determined. Additionally, Ten Hag is prioritizing a striker this summer and the cost of that deal will determine how much Manchester United are willing to spend on the South American.

There were reports linking Mac Allister with Manchester City and Arsenal as well. However, according to Romano, no other Premier League side has made contact with the player over a potential summer move. While this could drastically change, as of now, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea are the clubs in contention for De Zerbi's maestro.
