The Gunners have taken a massive hit in their title charge.

Arsenal have hit another stumbling block in their race to win the Premier League title after failing to pick up a win in Sunday's London derby with West Ham United. The Gunners were forced to share the spoils with their local rivals following the afternoon's 2-2 draw.

For the second game in a row, Mikel Arteta's men failed to secure the maximum three points after registering a two-goal advantage early on in the game. The league leaders had the best of starts at the London Stadium, scoring twice inside the first 10 minutes through Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard. However, costly errors from Thomas Partey and Gabriel Magalhaes handed West Ham a golden opportunity to get back into the game via a spot-kick. Said Benrahma subsequently stepped up to convert the chance from 12 yards to turn the momentum ahead of half-time.

Early on in the second half, Arsenal squandered the chance to go 3-1 up when Bukayo Saka put a penalty wide. It did not take long for their side to be punished, as Jarrod Bowen volleyed in the equalizer from the edge of the box.

The afternoon's draw meant that Arsenal is the first-ever club in the history of the Premier League to let a two-goal lead slip in consecutive games while sitting atop the table. The result leaves the Gunners four points clear of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. Both clubs will feature in a potential title decider when they meet at the Etihad Stadium in 10 days.
