The player, who will see the end of his contract with Los Blancos this summer, could earn twice as much as he does if he accepts this bid.

Real Madrid's re-building process has started since key players who won several Champions League titles decided to leave tje club last summer. Apparently, that process will continue this season with the exit of one more of their elite midfielders.

The first one of their historic midfielders to leave the club was Casemiro, and while both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are still part of the team, their future with the team has been the subject of much speculation, and it's about to get worse for Real Madrid fans thanks to the latest reports.

According to an article by As, the next midfield player that could leave Los Blancos is none other than Luka Modric, who has been handed a massive offer by the Saudi Arabian Pro League. The Croatian ace would not only be handed a two-year deal, he would also earn twice as much as he does right now with Los Merengues, which could be key to decide his future.

Added to that, the playmaker is still inclined to play for his national team in the UEFA Nations League and in the UEFA Euro, something that has stalled his contract negotiations with the Spanish club. If he chose to join the Saudi Arabian league, he would be allowed to continue playing for the Croatian side, but if contract talks with Los Merengues are picked up, the team's bosses would urge him to retire so he cane focus on club football during his final years as a professional.

Modric has already revealed that he would like to continue playing for Real Madrid, but only if the circumstances surrounding his contract were good for both parties. Will his desire to play for Croatia get in the way and see him following the same path as Cristiano Ronaldo? We will find out in coming months.
