The Senegalese ace is set to go back to the Premier League after a disappointing stint at Bayern, but he will not go back to the Reds after all.

Sadio Mané's future has been one of the hottest transfer topics in Europe ever since the incident with Leroy Sané after the UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City was made public. Today, there seems to be light on where he could end up playing next season.

The footballer, who only joined Bayern last summer, has been reportedly told by his employers that he will need to search for a different club, as they will not tolerate any more of his antics away from the pitch. Added to that, his relationship with some of the team's heavyweights is not the best, which has prompted the Bavarians to part ways with the player.

Luckily for the German side, the player is still appreciated by Premier League teams, and a recent report by the Football Insider states that one of Liverpool's biggest rivals could make a move to sign him as soon as the transfer window opens this summer.

The team in question is none other than Chelsea, who would happily welcome Mané back to the Premier League after his disappointing spell in Germany. The Blues will splash the cash one more time to try to bring back the good old days to Stamford Bridge, but before the London-based club makes a bid to sign Mané, they will be forced to sell players to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Chelsea will miss out on European competitions for the first time in a while, but the massive investment made by the Blues' owners will certainly be attractive to the footballer if he chooses to return to the Premier League. Now, the main thing to wait for will be the reaction by Liverpool's fans if he ends up joining one of their bitter rivals.
