The Portuguese duo ended their professional relationship back in December after a falling out on where the footballer should keep on playing.

The decades-long relationship between Jorge Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo came to a conclusion with the footballer's decision to join Al-Nassr, but even if his most famous client is no longer in his books, the agent wasted no time to heap praise on the Portuguese ace.

Speaking after an awards ceremony in Portugal, the so-called super agent referred to his relationship with CR7, stating that there seems to be no grudge between them after their paths separated before the end of 2022.

"I still have a great personal relationship with Cristiano. He will always be in my heart. He is a special kind of player and a special person for me," Mendes stated.

Then, Mends analyzed his career and urged his compatriots to feel proud of his accomplishments.

"All Portuguese people should feel proud of having a player as good as him representing our country. I will say it all my life: he was and will be the best player in football history," Mendes added.

Before the impromptu interviews came to an end, Mendes hinted that the upcoming transfer window will be one to keep an eye on, as many high-profile transfers will go on in the next few months.

"There will be news soon about big moves this summer. There will be some big ones! I can't reveal them right now, but surely you may have already heard about some of those transfers," Mendes concluded.

The owner of the player agency Gestifute still holds negotiating rights for some top talents in Europe, including Joao Felix, Gonçalo Ramos, Ruben Neves, and Bernardo Silva, among others. The future of all these footballers has been involved in transfer rumors, which means that some of those names could be involved in the big negotiations Mendes has hinted.
