Ilkay Gundogan scored a historic volley against the Red Devils after only 13 seconds, which is a new FA Cup record.

Manchester City took on bitter rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final and it did not take long for the Premier League champions to land a huge blow to the Red Devils.

For the first time in history, England's prestigious cup tournament would be contested by the nation's two Manchester giants. Never has this occurred in the final but wasn't the only record to be set in this exciting encounter at Wembley Stadium.

Guardiola's men, who entered this fixture as the heavy favorites due to their unrivaled goalscoring prowess, wasted no time in marching to a lead. In fact, Haaland and Co. caught everyone in the stadium off guard, including Ten Hag's men, as the Premier League winners went in front after only 13 seconds!

Their opener came courtesy of a direct play, with Ortega, who started in goal ahead of Ederson, going long. And with that, Gundogan secured an outstanding record for his team as that is the quickest goal ever scored in an FA Cup final, beating the record set by Louis Saha in the 2009 final with his goal for Everton against Chelsea after only 25 seconds.

And as is usually the case, Manchester City are a difficult team to beat once they go a goal up thanks to their ability to dominate the ball and maintain possession throughout the 90. However, when the Cityzens last met the Red Devils, they went 1-0 up as well only to lose 2-1 at full-time.

Ten Hag's men eventually equalized just over 30 minutes later. The Red Devils were awarded a penalty courtesy of VAR, which Bruno Fernandes converted.
