The English club are keen on hiring a player with Premier League experience to fill in for their French goalkeeper.

Hugo Lloris' time as Tottenham's No. 1 goalie has seemingly come to an end, and the club has looked within the EPL to find the man that will take his place under the sticks.

The French shot-stopper has admitted recently that his time with Tottenham would come to an end sooner rather than later, and that he would be keen on taking a new challenge in his career after a decade with the English side. The club, in the meantime, have identified David Raya as the man who will fill Lloris' void.

Sources close to Brentford have revealed that Raya has been slapped with a $40M price tag, which Tottenham expect to lower in order to make the deal possible. Raya would be the first addition to coach Ange Postecoglou's team after being confirmed as Spurs' boss last week.

Raya, who played 38 games for Brentford in the recently concluded EPL season, kept 12 clean sheets and conceded 46 goals for the Bees. The Spanish goalie is still under contract with Brentford for one more year, but his desire to leave and Brentford's need to cash in on the player could see a deal taking place in coming weeks.
