The Portuguese superstar could be headed for a new challenge in Ligue 1 this summer.

Both the disappointing 2020/21 season and the subsequent managerial change that occurred at Juventus has left Cristiano Ronaldo's future in Turin under heavy doubt. The Portuguese icon has thus been linked with an array of clubs, and understandably so, but one European side have reportedly made contact with the attacker.

They are none other than PSG, the French heavyweights whose search for a UEFA Champions League title continues. The Ligue 1 outfit have long been yearning for European success and who better to bring the much-desired Ol' Big Ears to the Parc des Princes than the competition's most successful player in history?

According to AS, the Qatari-owned team have made contact with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, with Ronaldo welcoming the idea of a move to Paris. A lot is left before this switch could happen but with Kylian Mbappe's contract situation being unresolved, the search for Neymar's new partner in crime has begun.

Messi had been their target for quite some time but the Argentine looks to have agreed to a contract extension at Barcelona. Juventus, meanwhile, are open to doing business with PSG as this transfer would please every side, including Nike, who have an endorsement deal with the player and are also Les Parisiens' kit manufacturers.

Ronaldo's Serie A employers look to use their top scorer in exchange for Mauro Icardi, the Argentine striker who has struggled to nail down a starting role in Paris since leaving Italy, in an attempt to shake up their squad ahead of next season. The former Inter Milan captain is said to be a fan of the Old Lady, with newly-appointed head coach Max Allegri keen on landing Icardi.

Speaking of Allegri, the new tactician at the Allianz Stadium doesn't look to be a fan of Cristiano. In fact, according to the report, the continuity of Cristiano isn't a priority for the Italian as he is instead keen on building with Dybala and Moratta. All fingers point to a summer exit, and while there have been links with former club Man United, PSG appear to be the likeliest of destinations.
