The Red Devils have identified four footballers that will need to seek for pastures new to help the team's transfers in this summer

Years after being signed as the most expensive defender in history, Harry Maguire's future at Old Trafford seems to be coming to an end and there is no way that can change in coming weeks.

The English international, along with three other footballers, have been earmarked by Erik Ten Hag to leave the club as soon as possible, with the coach's idea to fund more transfers once their exits have been confirmed.

Speaking of Maguire, the footballer came close to joining West Ham last winter, but the Red Devils refused to boost a Premier League rival and opted to keep him around. Inter and Roma showed interest to hire the footballer, but his massive wages became a hurdle too hard to overcome, pouring cold water on their interest.

It is understood that Manchester United are willing to accept a cut-price offer to ease Maguire's departure, but a loan move could not be ruled out as long as an obligatory buyout clause is included in the player's deal, according to The Mirror.

The rest of the players Manchester United have named as surplus to their requirements are Fred, Scott McTominay, and Jadon Sancho. McTominay has been linked to teams such as Brighton, Newcastle, West Ham, and even Roma, but no further details on any deal have emerged.

Meanwhile, Fred has been offered as an option to boost Fulham's midfield, as the Cottagers seem destined to part ways with Joao Palhinha. Fred's contract with the Red Devils expires next year, which may be one more reason to part ways with him now rather than watching him leave on a free move in 2024.

Last, but not least, Jadon Sancho is seen as a good option to include in a cash-plus-player deal that would see him joining Tottenham as part of the payment for Harry Kane. Nevertheless, Tottenham do not seem ready to sell their captain to another EPL rival, which means that Sancho may need to be negotiated to another club to help Manchester United increase their transfer budget.
