The Brazilian ace could be the next in line to leave Les Parisiens following Messi's exit to Inter Miami a couple of weeks ago.

It is safe to say that the Major League Soccer has started to gain quite a bit of attention after Lionel Messi decided to sign a two-year deal with Inter Miami, and it was just a matter of time before another club tried to replicate their move by adding another big name to the MLS.

The team that has decided to move forward with their intention is New York City FC, and the club has already sent a bid to try and lure Neymar to the North American league in order to turn their fortunes around this season.

According to a report by the Secret Scout, Neymar is already considering the bid for his services, although he has not revealed if he will stay put at PSG or set sail to join the MLS.

"The club has already handed Neymar a proposal to join them, but he is still considering this option," a source close to the player revealed to the media outlet.

Currently, New York City are ranked 11th in the Eastern Conference of the MLS, one point behind CF Montreal in search of a place in the next round. The team is owned by the City Football Group, who handle Manchester City and many other clubs across the world, meaning that his wages would not represent an issue for the North American club.

Neymar is still under contract with PSG until 2027, but the team has reportedly shown interest to let the footballer leave if the right offer comes their way. The Brazilian ace has been linked with teams such as Chelsea and Barcelona in the past, but his mammoth wages have always represented an issue when it comes to negotiating a potential deal.

Will the Brazilian ace end up following Messi's footsteps and join the American Cityzens? We will have to wait and see. Meanwhile, have a look at all things MLS in our Major League Soccer website.
