Six games will mark the fates of 12 teams in this competition, where some top contenders are facing a surprise elimination if they can't get their act together.

Six more groups will come to an end on Sunday, with Liga MX teams trying to balance the number of clubs from each country that have made the next stage.

As things stand, there are many MLS clubs that could bid farewell to the 2023 edition of the Leagues Cup after just two games, including the Seattle Sounders and Los Angeles. On the other side of the pitch, Liga MX teams that had disappointing performances in their first matches may be living their final moments in this tournament, namely Tijuana, Querétaro, and San Luis.

Without further ado, let us give you a glimpse on all fixtures so you get a better idea on what will be in play this Sunday.

Tijuana vs Querétaro

Both of these Liga MX teams make it to this game after being defeated by the Philadelphia Union, which means that the MLS club has already won the group and they will be fighting for the runner-up spot. As things stand, the winner of this match will make it to the KO stage, but Tijuana have a better chance of saving face after losing their first game 3-1. Querétaro had a baffling performance against the Union, losing 5-1 and raising questions about their real intention to do a good job in this tournament. Previous games between these teams show an advantage for Los Gallos, who have beaten Xolos 13 times in 30 games. But in favor of Xolos, coach Miguel Herrera has found a way to beat Gallos in 18 of his 31 matches against the club from Querétaro.

Atlas vs Toronto FC

The red and black side face the Canadian side following their controversial win against New York City, who have surprisingly qualified to the next round. Atlas have the upper hand here, as a win or even a loss after penalties would see them through in first place of group East 3. Toronto enter this match on a woeful six-game losing streak, which is not the best omen for their second Leagues Cup fixture, and to make matters worse, having to deal with this game without three of their best players will only make things more difficult in their first match ever against Atlas, who will also play their first match against Canadian opposition.

New York RB vs Atlético San Luis

The Red Bulls and San Luis face their final chance to reach the next round, and judging by what we saw in their previous games, the MLS club seem to have the better chances of reaching the KO stage. The Red Bulls won their match against New England after penalties, while San Luis barely put up a fight against the Revs, losing 5-1 and raising many doubts regarding their chances of success. Now, these teams enter their first-ever match with very different motivations, since the Red Bulls will not want to drop points against one of the clubs that suffered such a heavy loss, and San Luis will try to prove that they just had a bad outing and really mean business when they take the pitch at Red Bull Arena.

Monterrey vs Seattle Sounders

One of the most anticipated matches in the group stage of this year's Leagues Cup will feature Rayados and the Rave Green, who lost to Real Salt Lake and jeopardized their spot in the next round. Monterrey would go through with a draw and of course with a win, but the Sounders will surely not be OK with dropping points in front of their supporters. This game will see the revival of a rivalry in CONCACAF, where Monterrey have claimed three wins in four matches against the green and blue side. Meanwhile, Seattle have only beaten Rayados only once, but statistics aside, this should be one of the most entertaining matches to keep an eye on between two teams that were considered as contenders before the competition started.

LA Galaxy vs Vancouver Whitecaps

The winner of this match will be joining León in the next round, who claimed their spot in the KO stage by defeating the Whitecaps in the longest penalty shootout in a competitive match between CONCACAF rivals, and did the same to the Galaxy days later but needing only 90 minutes to do so. Now, the team from LA and the boys from Vancouver lock horns with a spot in the next round to claim, and with history telling us that Los Angeles have edged Vancouver 15 times, while the Whitecaps have won eleven of their matches. In fact, the Caps went unbeaten against Los Angeles in the 2023 season, winning one (4-2 at home) and drawing the other game away from home (1-1). Will Los Angeles finally claim a win against the Canadians to seal their place in the next round, or will this be time for Vancouver to make a habit out of beating the Galaxy? Tune in and find out.

Tigres UANL vs SJ Earthquakes

The final game of the evening will see Tigres trying to defend their top spot against the Earthquakes, who need to defeat the current Liga MX champions to reach the next stage. Tigres came from behind to beat the Portland Timbers in their previous match, meaning that a win or even a loss after penalties would be enough to reach the next stage and in first place of group West 1. Unfortunately for the team from San José, only a win after 90 minutes would do the trick if they want to reach the KO stage, something that seems a bit easier said than done. The 'Quakes have never beaten a Liga MX club (one loss and a draw), while Tigres have a record of twelve wins and only two losses against U.S.-based clubs.
