The German coach dismissed any intention to try to lure the footballer away from Parc des Princes, mainly because it has not been discussed with his employers.

Once again, Kylian Mbappé's future has been the subject of several rumors, but one of those involved in the transfer talk for the Frenchman decided to step up and end those rumors for good.

The team in question was none other than Liverpool, who had their coach as spokesman for what they are not going to do in this transfer window.

In an interview with Sky Germany, Klopp admitted he was aware of the supposed links between his team and the footballer, but he chose to end them as swiftly as he could.

"We laugh about it. I can say that I think he's a really good player, but the financial conditions don't suit us at all. I wouldn't like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there's nothing to it," the German boss told his country's media outlet.

Klopp is so certain about the lack of discussions about this signing that he even ruled out that the team's hierarchy were interested to hire Mbappé without his approval.

"It's possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me, but that hasn't happened in the eight years that I've been here. That would be the first time," Klopp added.

The Reds have seen some stellar names leaving the club, with only Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai joining them at this point. With this in mind, it seems that Liverpool will keep searching for new players, but Mbappé will not be on their wishlist at the moment.
