The Spanish broadcaster will cover six additional matches throughout the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

With the group stages now concluded at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, things are set to get a lot more interesting as the round of 16 gets underway on Saturday, August 5th.

Despite the awkward viewing times for fans based in North America and parts of Europe due to it being staged in Australia and New Zealand, this year's competition nonetheless has posted some solid viewing numbers for various matches. In the USA, many fans are following the event on FOX and its corresponding networks, while those who speak Spanish regularly tune into Telemundo.

As such, given the high levels of interest, it is no surprise that Telemundo have decided to add six more matches to its roster, plus will be re-airing several games during the rest of the competition.

Here are the six new games for Telemundo, whose addition now brings the total of games covered by the network to 39:

  • Round of 16 tie: Sweden vs USA on Sunday, August 6th
  • Round of 16 tie: England vs Nigeria on Monday, August 7th
  • Round of 16 tie: Australia vs Denmark on Monday, August 7th
  • Quarter-finals #1 on Thursday, August 10th
  • Quarter-finals #2 on Friday, August 11th
  • Third-place match on Saturday, August 19th

All coverage of matches is preceded by a 30 minute pre-game session in which analysis and other insights are provided by Telemundo's team of commentators, and for big matches, this pre-game session can start as early as 1 hour prior to kick-off.
