The Gunners have reportedly told the footballer he is not part of Mikel Arteta's plans, but they are yet to receive a satisfactory offer for his services.

It has been quite a summer for a few members of the USMNT. Players such as Yunus Musah, Christian Pulisic, Tim Weah, or Ricardo Pepi have sealed moves to European clubs, and another one of the Yanks' rising stars could join that list very soon.

The player in question is none other than Folarin Balogun, who had a massive season with Reims in the 2022-23 campaign. Unfortunately for the American striker, his skills did not impress Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta, who has already told the player he should seek for pastures new.

With that in mind, Balogun's agents have started to offer the striker to several European clubs, with Monaco and Tottenham being named as his most likely destinations. In fact, the Ligue 1 outfit have already submitted a bid for his services, but their $36M offer was turned down by the Gunners. Reports close to the English club hint that Monaco will return with an "improved bid" to make the deal happen.

As for Tottenham, the team coached by Ange Postecoglou is desperate to fill the void left by Harry Kane, and Balogun could be the man to fill his shoes. Nevertheless, the white and blue side is yet to submit an offer, which could also find some resistance from Arsenal execs due to the rivalry between both clubs.

The 22-year-old Balogun is still under contract with Arsenal until 2025, but as things stand, it seems highly unlikely to see him staying put at the Emirates with such stellar clubs behind him. Will the American striker sign a new deal before the end of the current transfer window? We will have to wait and see.
