The Saudi League keeps attracting talent from European clubs, this time from one of the top teams in the English top-flight.

It has been a busy summer for Saudi Arabian teams in their search for talent from European clubs, and by the looks of it, it will not stop until the very end of the transfer window.

Earlier today, reports from England revealed how one of the most talented defenders in the Premier League is set to leave the top European league to join the Saudi top-flight. To make it even more interesting, the player in question would join Cristiano Ronaldo's club.

The player in question is Aymeric Laporte, who won the treble with Manchester City last season and just won the UEFA Super Cup with Pep Guardiola's team on Wednesday. Sources close to the player and the club revealed that Laporte, who fell down Pep's pecking order, would be open to join the Saudi Arabian side.

Laporte joined Manchester City in 2018 after the club paid Athletic over $65M. Now, the club would be willing to let the footballer leave since he is not one of Guardiola's regular starters. In that light, Laporte would also be keen on this switch to try and earn playing time prior to the upcoming international break.

Added to Ronaldo, Laporte would also join Sadio Mané and Marcelo Brozovic as Al Nassr's summer signings, but only time will tell if the French-born footballer adds his name to the list of players that made the trip to play in Saudi Arabia.
