Another season of the Italian top-flight kicks off this weekend, with many changes and several talking points to keep in mind. Follow the games with our guide!

It will be one massive season in the Italian top-flight, with many managerial changes and with the league recovering its reputation as one of the toughest and most competitive in the globe.

The league that provided five semi-finalisrs for all European tournaments last term returns with quite a few things to keep in mind, where clubs such as Inter, Milan, Roma, and Juventus will try to snatch the Scudetto away from Napoli, last year's winners.

In what could be the key change before the start of the tournament, Napoli saw former coach Luciano Spalletti leaving the club, which will open up the competition after the Partenopei were very dominant last year. Now, teams such as Inter and Milan seem as the top options to win the title, with Jose Mourinho's Roma and an enigmatic Juventus lurking in the shadows and waiting to surprise the opposition.

Fans will also be able to watch some talented players in their first Serie A season, including Christian Pulisic, Marcus Thuram, Noah Okafor, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, or El Bilal Touré. Added to those names, players that will return to the Italian top-flight include Gianluca Scamacca and Leandro Paredes, who will add depth to their respective teams in search for a spot among the top four.

Without any further delay, let us show you how and where you can keep track of all games in the first weekend of the 2023-24 season in Serie A.

Serie A - Top games to watch this week

Frosinone vs Napoli – The defending champions go back at it with Rudi García calling the shots from the dugout. Their first match of the season will have them paired up against Frosinone, who were promoted from Serie B after finishing as champions in the 2022-23 campaign. It remains to be seen how Napoli adap to their new coach, especially since Spalletti's team was a well-oiled machine that could suffer without their main main around.

Inter vs Monza – The nerazzurri had an amazing second half of the season, which included reaching the UEFA Champions League final, lifting the Coppa Italia title, and a third-place finish in the domestic competition. Now, Simone Inzaghi's men will be determined to show why they are considered title contenders, even with André Onana, Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar or Edin Dzeko leaving the club. On the other hand, Monza will have to deal with the absence of the late Silvio Berlusconi, the driving force behind the club, and who managed to raise talent from different teams to keep them safe from relegation last season. Will I Biancorossi put up a good fight against the UCL runners-up, or will this be an easy win for Inzaghi's men?

Bologna vs Milan – Milan failed to defend their title from the 2021-22 season, and with some new fresh faces, the club will want to show they learned from their mistakes and get off to a great start. Their first match of the season will see them taking a trip to Bologna, the team coached by Thiago Motta who had a decent campaign last term and even fought for a spot in European tournaments with a very modest payroll. Stefano Pioli will be under severe pressure after last season, and the only way to vent some of it will be by getting a win on Monday's fixture.

Who's in and who's out

Unfortunately, not all teams will have a full squad to choose from, whether it comes after injuries they picked up last season or because of untimely physical problems during preseason. Lazio – Injured: Cristiano Lombardi, Marcos Antonio, Elseid Hysaj.
