Tottenham were interested in the Masia graduate but Fati is on the break of joining another Premier League side. That team is none other than the exciting Brighton, with the Seagulls winning the race for the Spaniard's signature.
Fati will head over to the Amex on a season-long loan with no option to buy. The attacker's history with injuries means Brighton avoided spending big on a potentially injury-prone player while the Blaugrana retain this talent, making it a win-win for all parties.
According to Fabrizio Romano, 80 percent of Ansu's salary will be covered by Brighton, with the Spaniard only needing to undergo a medical after an agreement was struck late on Wednesday.
