The center back had a woeful appearance in the second half of the game, causing all sorts of negative comments for his performance.

It was just one more unfortunate day for Harry Maguire with the English national team, and fans were not a bit forgiving following a massive blunder in today's game against Scotland.

Manchester United's center back came on as a sub for the second half against the Tartan Army, and while he was not having a bad game, everything turned sideways for him after a blatant own goal when England were dominating their hosts with a two-nil score.

A swift attack from the right flank by Andrew Robertson ended with a soft cross into England's box. Unfortunately for the English side, Maguire decided to try and catch the ball when goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was already moving to save the cross, causing the ball to roll into the back of the Three Lions' net.

What came afterwards was no surprise: fans from both countries found some common ground: making fun of Harry Maguire. Have a look at his own goal to see if he deserved to be treated like that (Image might be geo-restricted).

Of course, there were some memes and reactions caused by this goal. We will leave you with some of those that can be posted here.
