This will be second of two friendly meetings played in just the span of a few days for the USWNT and South Africa.

The USWNT will look to make it two wins in two games when they once again take on South Africa in a friendly tie. A few days ago, the Stars and Stripes faced the 2022 AFCON winners and eased to a 3-0 win, which was exactly the result they needed after their humiliating round of 16 exit to Sweden at the World Cup earlier this year.

Veteran player Julie Ertz said her official goodbyes in that game, and this time, it will be Megan Rapinoe's time to do likewise. It will be the 203rd game for Rapinoe, who will retire from international duty but will finish the season with NSWL club OL Reign.
