The third round of the 2023-24 Carabao Cup is here. Reigning champions Manchester United are one of several top teams still in the competition, with the Red Devils facing fellow top-flight side Crystal Palace in one of the earlier fixtures.
Furthermore, this is not the only all-Premier-League matchup. In fact, four other fixtures will see teams from the first division battle it out for a spot in the next round, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea facing tough opponents.

Top games to watch in the third round of the 2023-24 Carabao Cup
Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace live this Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET
Manchester United host Crystal Palace in one of five all-Premier-League affairs. The Red Devils enter this tie on the back of their 1-0 win over Burnley, which ended their three-game losing streak. However, an improved performance will be needed against Palace, who look to end their two-game winless run when they visit Old Trafford.
The Eagles' last victory came at the beginning of this month, beating Wolves 3-2. Since then, a controversial defeat against Aston Villa and a goalless draw at home to Fulham followed. Will Roy Hodgson's side be the latest team to upset Ten Hag's crew? Tune in to find out.
Brentford vs. Arsenal live this Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. ET
Arsenal kick off their Carabao Cup campaign in the third round on Wednesday as they visit Brentford in an interesting showdown. The Gunners look to bounce back from their frustrating 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham in the first North London Derby of the season. Arteta lost a handful of players to injuries as well and will be forced to field a weakened team in this tie.
The Bees, on the other hand, lost 3-1 at home to Everton on Saturday and will not want to suffer back-to-back defeats at the Gtech Community Stadium. Thomas Frank's men boast only one win so far in the league while their only other win this campaign came via penalties in the Carabao Cup clash with Newport in the previous round, which they drew 1-1 in normal time.
Chelsea vs. Brighton live this Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. ET
Will Chelsea's misery continue? The Blues resume their Carabao Cup campaign this midweek on the back of another league defeat, this time losing 1-0 at home to Aston Villa on Sunday. Brighton, on the other hand, came back from a goal down to beat Bournemouth 3-1 and are thus currently third in the English top flight. With the Stamford Bridge faithful growing frustrated with Pochettino and Chelsea's players, expect a tense atmosphere at this midweek game.
The London heavyweights are winless in their last three games, with their last victory coming in the previous round of the Carabao Cup, beating AFC Wimbledon 2-1. With Todd Boehly and Co. spending big to raid the Seagulls, the Blues will not want to be dumped out of the competition by that very same team. However, beating Mitoma and Co. is a tough task for even the best clubs in the country.
Aston Villa vs. Everton live this Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. ET
Fresh off of their 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge, Aston Villa return to action, this time kicking off their Carabao Cup campaign. Unai Emery's men might have beaten Chelsea over the weekend, but the Birmingham side have suffered defeats recently, including losses against Liverpool in the league and against Legia Warszawa in the Europa League. Everton, on the other hand, finally got their first win of the season after beating Brentford 3-1 over the weekend. The question on everyone's mind is whether Sean Dyche can make it back-to-back victories for the Merseyside outfit.
Newcastle vs. Manchester City live this Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET
Wrapping up the Carabao Cup must-watch fixtures is Manchester City's trip to Newcastle. These two clubs have already faced off in the Premier League, with Guardiola's men beating the Magpies 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of a Julian Alvarez goal. However, Eddie Howe's side have improved since and enter this tie on the back of their unbelievable 8-0 win over Sheffield United over the weekend.
While Guardiola's men won the treble last season, the domestic trophy they missed out on was the Carabao Cup. The Cityzens were eliminated by Southampton before eventually watching bitter rivals Manchester United lift the title.
