With the Italian boss already set to join Brazil in 2024, Los Blancos have decided to hire one of the hottest young coaches in Europe.

Real Madrid were told in advance about Carlo Ancelotti's plans to coach Brazil once his current deal came to an end, and to prevent any issues finding a replacement, the club has reportedly identified the man that will coach Los Merengues in the 2024-25 season...for starters.

The coach in question has been linked to different jobs, including a job as Liverpool's coach in the event of Jurgen Klopp's exit, or even to the formerly vacant gig with the German National Team. In fact, Real Madrid considered hiring this former midfielder if Ancelotti left the club prior to the start of this season, but the Italian tactician refused to end his deal and honored his initial agreement with the Spanish giants.

The man who will lead Real Madrid's new era will be Xabi Alonso, who started his coaching career with Real Madrid's youth categories and has become one of the most sought out young coaches in Europe. The 41-year-old has also led Real Sociedad B and Bayer Leverkusen, a team he led to the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League semifinals.

It has been said that Alonso signed a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026, but the coach included a buyout clause preventing a potential offer from a bigger team. As of now, Bayer are top of the Bundesliga, level on points with Bayern München, after both teams have won four out of their five games in the domestic tournament, with the other one ending in an electric 2-2 draw between them.

Alonso has won 63 of his 142 games in charge of both teams he has coached, and even if some could believe he lacks the experience to coach such a big club, Los Merengues' fans cannot forget that the same was said about Zinedine Zidane...
