The North London side led 1-0 from the third minute but threw that away in stoppage time to suffer their second consecutive Premier League defeat.

Tottenham kicked off Matchday 12 in the Premier League with an early trip to Wolves, their first game since suffering their first top-flight defeat under Ange Postecoglou and losing James Maddison and Micky van de Ven to injuries.

And while a tough 90 minutes was expected for the North London side, what unfolded at the Molineux Stadium was quite extraordinary. Not only did Tottenham suffer a second consecutive Premier League defeat, having gone 4-1 down at home to Chelsea after having two men sent off, but Son and Co. lost to Wolves in the seventh minute of stoppage time!

Despite this horrible ending to the game, things started phenomenally for the visitors. Ange Postecoglou's men went 1-0 up after only three minutes thanks to a lovely goal from Brennan Johnson. However, Tottenham were second best to the host for the entirety of the game and could have lost by a larger margin had Gary O'Neil's men been more clinical in front of goal.

Spurs held on for most of the game but succumbed to the pressure in stoppage time, conceding twice in the final few minutes to lose 2-1. Pablo Sarabia, who came on as a sub for Wolves in the 87th minute, scored the equalizer at 90+1 before assisting the winner at 90+7, sparking jubilation in the stands. Meanwhile, fans took to social media to troll Ange Postecoglou following his second Premier League defeat in a row. The Australian tactician, who received praise despite losing 4-1 at home to Chelsea, was mocked for — once again — failing to coach a pragmatic approach in the fact of injuries.
