With the English winger frozen out by Ten Hag, the club is considering extreme measures to put an end to the complicated moment he is living.

It has been almost four months since Jadon Sancho's last game as a Manchester United player, and with each passing day, the club and the player grow further apart following his public spat with Erik Ten Hag.

Now, according to sources close to the team, the player could finally see the light and find another side where he can prove his worth...even if that means the Red Devils cut their losses for that purpose.

A recent report by The Mirror hints that Manchester United will cut ties with Sancho if the club fails to find a suitable destination for the player in the upcoming transfer window. The decision, fueled by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's suggestion, could come as part of a new approach by the club, which will focus on a better recruitment strategy instead of a business interest.

The player, who still has three years left in his deal, has been linked to several clubs in Europe, including  Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona, and RB Leipzig. While each of these sides intend to hire Sancho, there is no indication about a permanent move for a footballer who has been frozen out for the past four months, and with that scenario in mind, the Red Devils could be forced to terminate his deal unilaterally to cut their losses.

This decision resembles the approach taken by Arsenal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Özil, two key players for the Gunners but who also had their issues with coach Mikel Arteta. Since their exit, Arsenal have become title contenders once more, and Ratcliffe could be tempted to replicate that model with the Red Devils.

Manchester United paid over $90M to Borussia Dortmund for Sancho's services, but after two-and-a-half years, it is safe to say that their bet did not pay off as planned. Now, the club is facing a crucial transfer window to part ways with the player and earn some cash back, but the plan to save face -and a bit of money in terms of Sancho's wage- seems to be in place. Only time will tell if it was right or not.
